This Week: Governor Shapiro Delivers Massive New Economic Investments, Thousands of Jobs, and Earns Strong Support From Law Enforcement For Reelection

It was another big week for Pennsylvania under Governor Josh Shapiro’s leadership

Governor Shapiro is running for reelection to continue keeping Pennsylvania communities safe, creating good-paying jobs, and bringing historic investments to the Commonwealth

PENNSYLVANIA – This week, Governor Josh Shapiro delivered major results for Pennsylvanians — continuing his record of making Pennsylvania safer, growing the Commonwealth’s economy, and bringing people together to get stuff done.

The Shapiro-Davis Administration started the week off by successfully securing the relocation of two major companies, Chobani and Burlington, to the Commonwealth, securing $1.57 billion in new private-sector investment and creating nearly 3,000 new jobs. Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has made Pennsylvania more competitive and strengthened the Commonwealth’s economy, attracting over $43 billion in private-sector investment while creating nearly 29,000 good-paying jobs.

At the same time, Pennsylvania law enforcement organizations from across the state announced their endorsements of Governor Josh Shapiro for reelection, highlighting the Governor’s strong record of investing in public safety and supporting Pennsylvania law enforcement officers.

Governor Shapiro has made public safety a priority since Day One, securing funding for over 2,000 additional law enforcement officers across Pennsylvania, investing more than $1 billion through community-based violence prevention grants, and strengthening partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. As a result of the Governor’s work in partnership with law enforcement and local leaders, crime is down and the Commonwealth is safer than it was four years ago.

The endorsements announced this week include:

  • Pennsylvania State Troopers Association
  • Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5
  • Chester County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 11
  • William Penn Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 19
  • Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27
  • Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 92
  • Fraternal Order of Transit Police Lodge 109

From making communities safer to creating good-paying jobs and attracting historic investment, Governor Shapiro remains focused on getting stuff done and delivering for Pennsylvania.
