PENNSYLVANIA – Today, the Shapiro for Pennsylvania campaign released a new television and digital ad highlighting Governor Josh Shapiro’s work to make universal free breakfast for all Pennsylvania public school students the law in the Commonwealth.
In “Kid News,” a group of student reporters welcome Governor Shapiro to their newscast to discuss his commitment to ensuring every student in Pennsylvania can start the school day with a good breakfast. The ad underscores the Governor’s belief that no child should have to learn on an empty stomach and that every student deserves to start the day set up for success.
Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has fought for and delivered universal free breakfast for Pennsylvania’s 1.7 million students in all three of his bipartisan budgets. During the 2024-25 school year alone, Pennsylvania served nearly 93 million breakfasts, helping students across the Commonwealth start the school day fed, focused, and ready to learn.
With this ad, the Shapiro for Pennsylvania campaign continues to outline the Governor’s record of getting stuff done for families across the Commonwealth and delivering results on the issues that matter most.
