Governor Shapiro Endorses Democratic Candidates in Critical State House and Senate Races Across Pennsylvania
Governor Shapiro is fighting to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November in order to get even more stuff done and keep moving Pennsylvania forward
PENNSYLVANIA – Governor Josh Shapiro has been clear about the importance of winning up and down the ballot this November – and today, the Governor is announcing his endorsements in the most critical State House and Senate races across Pennsylvania where Democrats have an opportunity to win key seats in order to protect the House majority and flip the State Senate for the first time in decades.
From making significant investments in the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and this year’s unprecedented coordinated campaign effort, to showing up all across the Commonwealth to help elect strong Democratic leaders, Governor Shapiro is leading the fight to win up and down the ballot this November. The Governor has been clear that these midterm elections will be a referendum on the chaos, cruelty, and corruption coming from Washington, DC – and here in Pennsylvania, we have a critical opportunity to get even more stuff done and keep moving the Commonwealth forward.
“We’ve gotten a lot done for Pennsylvania in my first term, but there’s more work to do to keep moving this Commonwealth forward and delivering even more results. That’s why I have been fighting to win up and down the ballot this November – and it’s why I am proud to endorse these leaders who are fighting for their communities and I know will be strong partners in getting stuff done for all Pennsylvanians,” said Governor Josh Shapiro. “This November, we have a real opportunity to expand our Democratic State House Majority and flip control of the State Senate for the first time in decades in order to make real progress for Pennsylvania – from raising the minimum wage, lowering costs, and creating more jobs, to building more housing, codifying abortion rights, passing statute of limitations reform, and more. That’s what we’re working to deliver in these midterms, and we’re going to keep fighting every day to win all across the Commonwealth.”
Governor Shapiro understands the stakes of the midterm elections and is proud to endorse strong Democratic leaders in these critical races – leaders who are ready to win and deliver for Pennsylvania families on everything from raising the minimum wage, lowering costs, and building more housing, to codifying abortion rights and protecting our rights and freedoms.
