Throughout the fall, Lt. Governor Davis will be making stops at Pennsylvania college campuses to hear from students and encourage them to get involved

PENNSYLVANIA – Yesterday, Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis continued his statewide college campus tour with stops at Muhlenberg College and Lehigh University, where he met with students and encouraged them to get off the sidelines and get involved ahead of the midterm elections.

Lt. Governor Davis, a first-generation college graduate, launched his statewide college campus tour last week, rallying University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University students and talking about the issues that matter most to them.

“Far too often, young people feel that their voices won’t make a difference, but I know firsthand that they play an important role in shaping the future of their communities. When I attended my first city council meeting at 16 years old, I didn’t expect years later to end up as your lieutenant governor, but I know my younger self would be proud of all we’ve accomplished together to move our Commonwealth forward,” said Lt. Governor Austin Davis. “I’m visiting college campuses like these in the Lehigh Valley because this November young voters have the power to change the trajectory of not just Pennsylvania, but the country, by getting involved, making their voices heard, and electing Democrats up and down the ballot.”

Lt. Governor Davis is running for reelection with Governor Josh Shapiro to continue getting stuff done for all Pennsylvanians so that the next generation can build their futures here in the Commonwealth — from delivering historic funding for public education and making higher education more affordable to putting money back in people’s pockets and creating good-paying jobs, to protecting our freedoms and our democracy.

This fall, Lt. Governor Davis will be visiting more college campuses across the Commonwealth to mobilize students to volunteer and get out the vote for the midterms.
