NEW AD: Josh Shapiro Highlights His Plans for Building Safer Neighborhoods, Investing More in Workforce Training, Cutting Red Tape, and Empowering Parents

To kickoff the final two weeks of the campaign, Shapiro for Pennsylvania released a new TV ad highlighting Josh Shapiro’s vision for the Commonwealth.

PENNSYLVANIAToday, the Shapiro for Pennsylvania campaign released a new television ad highlighting Josh’s plans to make our communities safer, invest in apprenticeships and job training, eliminate the four year degree requirements for thousands of state government jobs, and ensure parents have a voice in their children’s education.

As the campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania enters its final two weeks, Josh Shapiro is continuing to speak directly to Pennsylvanians’ concerns. This new ad highlights his plans for safer neighborhoods with more cops on the beat – Josh has pledged to help hire 2,000 more police officers across the Commonwealth. As AG, Josh Shapiro works with law enforcement every single day to do his job and serve Pennsylvanians. He is a strong supporter of law enforcement and believes that we need more police, more funding, and more training in order to keep PA communities safe.

Josh knows that Pennsylvania workers are the backbone of our economy, and if elected Governor, Josh pledges to increase the state’s investment in apprenticeships, job skills training, and vocational training programs. Josh has also said he would remove the requirement for a college degree for thousands of state government jobs which will make “state government more fair, inclusive and effective.”

Finally, Josh believes parents deserve to have a voice in their kids’ education. That’s why, as Governor, he will make sure parents have a seat at the table by appointing at least two parents to the State Board of Education.

The ad will be running in media markets across Pennsylvania as more voters continue tuning into the race during the final stretch to Election Day. In the final 14 days, Josh will continue to show up in every corner of our Commonwealth and build on the broad coalition of support from Republicans, Democrats, and Independents in order to win on November 8th.

Every day, Pennsylvanians tell me about their hopes and dreams for the future.

That’s why I’m fighting for safer neighborhoods, with more cops on the beat.

Apprenticeships and job training, so everyone has a chance to get ahead.

I’ll remove the requirement for a college degree for thousands of state government jobs.

And for the first time ever, I’ll appoint parents to the State Board of Education.

I’m Josh Shapiro, and I’m determined to be a governor who will get things done for you
