Citing Governor Shapiro’s strong track record of supporting law enforcement and protecting public safety, PSTA endorses the Governor for reelection

Governor Shapiro is running for reelection to continue his commitment of keeping Pennsylvania communities safe, supporting law enforcement, and making sure police officers have the tools they need to protect and serve their fellow Pennsylvanians

PENNSYLVANIA – Today, the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association (PSTA) announced their endorsement of Governor Josh Shapiro for reelection, underscoring the Governor’s proven record of supporting and investing in law enforcement, strengthening public safety, and building trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

PSTA represents over 4,300 active and retired Pennsylvania State Troopers — and as they fight for those who protect and serve their fellow Pennsylvanians, they trust Governor Josh Shapiro to continue leading this Commonwealth.

Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has made public safety a priority, securing funding for over 2,000 additional law enforcement officers across Pennsylvania, investing more than $1 billion through community-based violence prevention grants, and strengthening partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The Governor has delivered for the Pennsylvania State Police — including funding for 16 new cadet classes to train over 1,600 new State Troopers, reducing PSP’s reliance on the Motor License Fund, building a new state-of-the-art training facility, and investing in modernizing critical equipment.

As a result of the Governor’s work in partnership with law enforcement and local leaders, crime is down and the Commonwealth is safer than it was four years ago.
